Hongwu Emperor
  • After the collapse of the Yuan dynasty, he rebelled against the Yuan dynasty and established the Ming dynasty.           
  • He wanted to eliminate all trace of Mongol rule and establish a traditional Chinese dynasties.
  • He reestablished the Confucian education system and the civil service system to supply officials and bureaucrats.
  • He moved to a more centralized government ever than the dynasties before.
  • He heavily used mandarin, powerful officials sent out as emissaries of the central government to make sure the local government is doing what they should be.

Yongle Emperor
  • He is the successor of Hongwu Emperor
  • He also want to promote Chinese cultures.
  • He created the Yongle Encyclopedia that compiled all significant works of Chinese history, philosophy , and literature.
  • It contain almost 2300 manuscript rolls. Each roll is equivalent to a medium size book.
  • He wanted to give a Yongle Encyclopedia to everyone in China, but the plan was abandoned because it was too costly.

Ming Dynasty
  • The population recovered from the plague.
  • The economy of China also started to recover from the nomadic rule and epidemic disease.
  • They also rebuild irrigation systems, and the agricultural production was increased.
  • They promoted the manufacture of porcelain, lacquer ware, silk, cotton textiles. Even though the emperor didn't actively promote trade, the private Chinese merchants actively trade with Japan and other island at southeast Asia.
  • Zheng He made several voyage that showed the power of the Ming to the other part of the worlds.

Comparison 
The mandarin from Ming dynasty and the Satrap from the Persia Empire 
Both the Ming dynasty and the Persia Empire send powerful officials to the city states or local government to make sure everything was going right and enforce the law of the central government.
